DIY Silicone beads Pack – Keychain – Grandpa & Grandma

This set contains all the supplies needed to make two homemade keychains, one in the Grandpa model and one in the Grandma model. Below we also list all the materials in this set. If you want to replace an item, such as another body for Grandma (a white one with rhinestones) or perhaps a different colour Mini Abacus, this supplies list can help you. The materials:

These keychains are very easy to make. The knobs on the top and bottom can be unscrewed. After you have unscrewed one of the sides, thread the beads onto it. Then press it firmly onto the rod (the entire threading must remain free) and hold it firmly in one hand. Turn the knob back on with the other hand.

TIP: Some combinations are a bit “fuller”. First, press firmly on the rod so you can easily turn the knob. If you don’t do this, the silicone beads can sometimes press against the knob too quickly, even though they’re only screwed onto a small part of the thread. This can be detrimental to the thread quality.

TIP2: You’ll see in the materials list that we’ve indicated three 9 mm light‑grey beads. In the picture you’ll initially see only two. We’ve placed a light‑grey 9 mm bead under the grandma pompom. This helps press the pompom a bit more and give it firmness. Because there are ruffles on the underside of the pompom, you can push them up with it. Try to get them to fall directly onto the 9 mm bead as much as possible. After assembling and tightening, you can also carefully remove it from between. This keeps the pompom beautifully shaped and masks the 9 mm bead.
