Made of untreated (not lacquered, stained or oiled) maple wood. Maple wood beads are chemically tested safe for use in baby teething toys. Nevertheless, we recommend beech wood. The wooden beads are a natural product. The beads are nearly round but may sometimes have minimal deviation. Please note, with maple beads, creations do not meet EN criteria whether you purchase them from us or from someone else. Pay attention to this, there is a lot of misinformation going around. We therefore recommend beech wood for use in your creations. Beech wood is sturdier wood and more resistant to saliva. Nevertheless, maple is still used with regularity because some makers prefer it, find the color more beautiful or because it is mentioned in crochet patterns, for example. Use is possible but at your own risk. Always use teething toys only under adult supervision.
