Wooden rings 5.5 cm – Maple wood

Made of raw (not lacquered, stained or oiled) Maple wood. The outer circumference of the wooden ring is 55 mm.

The 5.5 cm /55 mm wooden rings are made from a natural product, and therefore may still have minimal deviations. As soon as we find an excessive deviation, the product is not sold but discarded/recycled. As a result, we can always guarantee you high quality products.

It is very important to pay attention with these products. Maple wood products are not routinely used in (baby/children’s) toys. We recommend beech wood because this wood is even harder. Therefore, instruct parents/grandparents/customers to check carefully for wear and tear and to allow the products to be used only when accompanied by an adult.

But which (sizes) of wooden ring is best to use for your project?

The 5.5 cm wooden rings are particularly used for making beaded teething rings or breastfeeding necklaces.

Depending on the size you want to make, you can use a different combination of beads and rings for this. For example, if you use the 16 and 20 mm beads, I would use the 4. 5 cm rings. Want to go a notch bigger? Then look at combining the 20 mm beads with, say, the 25 or the 30 mm beads together with the 5.5 cm ring.

A small wooden teething ring with beads (see example below) consists of:

• 2x a 4.5 cm wooden ring
• 6x a 16 mm wooden bead
• 6x a 20 (crocheted) wooden bead

A larger wooden teething ring is then also possible with:

• 2x a 5.5 cm wooden ring
• 6x a 20/25 mm wooden bead
• 6x a 25/30 mm (crocheted) wooden bead

As mentioned, depending on your desired size, you can choose from the smaller or the larger varieties of materials. Both sizes are easy to handle for a baby or toddler.

The 7 cm wooden ring is particularly used for making a crocheted teething ring (see example below). The 4. 5 cm wooden ring is really too small for that.
