Bracelets Beads from Acrylic
These smaller acrylic beads are intended for making bracelets, necklaces, keychains, sunglass cords and more. Most beads are 6 mm or a matching 6 mm round size, chosen because they match our 6 mm round silicone jewelry beads.
Note, the beads with a metal look contain a metal‑look coating that will wear off. They are not made of stainless steel or any other metal but of plastic. The beads can therefore shed a little when worn. This is a consideration when purchasing. Personally, we think that these beads give a Beautiful shiny, weathered industrial look that pairs wonderfully with the silicone beads. The shedding wears off fairly quickly. If this isn’t for you, use only silicone or metal beads, or a combination.
The advantage of using acrylic is that it is not problematic for people with a nickel allergy. A combination of these acrylic beads with silicone beads, especially on our elastic bracelet cord, therefore makes a perfect bracelet for people with a nickel allergy.
