What are these 16 mm Silicone safety beads used for?
These 16 mm silicone safety beads are primarily used in pacifier cords. The silicone beads have a double hole. A safe pacifier cord is always strung with at least a double‑stranded thread. You use this safety bead as the last bead on the loop side. One thread goes through one hole and a satin cord thread goes through the other hole. This way, the last bead can never slip over the knot of the final loop. Even if someone were to remove that knot, the beads still cannot come off the pacifier cord. And that is indeed very safe.
