What are these bells often used for?
The silver bells are widely used for decorating crocheted amigurumi. For example, these bells are often used in designs by Kristel Droog. Among others in her book: “My Cuddly Toys from Sock Yarn” (Crochet Pattern Sheep Mollie and Kitty Mauw) and her books “My Doggies from Sock Yarn” and “My Doggies from Sock Yarn 2”. The crocheted doggies often have a collar to which a bell is a nice addition.
Additionally, bells are nowadays increasingly used in handmade baby toys such as stroller chains and pram toys. Please note, the bells are not meant for sucking on.
What are these bells often used for?
We advise against the use of bells in baby toys in the first instance. If used nonetheless, pay attention to the attachment. Bells are small and round and can come loose more easily.
