How do I use a Finger toothbrush?

As soon as your little one's first teeth appear, they need proper care. Often, brushing for the first time is quite a challenge to begin with. The child's initial reaction is usually to push the toothbrush away and start crying. “You can almost see them thinking, why does Mum or Dad suddenly want that unpleasant thing in my mouth? My teeth already hurt... Go away!” These fingertip toothbrushes then provide a solution!

Because they are finger toothbrushes, you can easily maneuver them. They sit on your finger, so your little one recognises them sooner and is less likely to resist. They are made from very fine, soft silicone with gentle bristles. The combination of these soft bristles and using your own hand massages the gums, and the toothbrushes are especially soothing for pain. Thanks to the fun colours, they look like a toy and resemble the familiar silicone from teething rings, bite toys, and pacifier clips. This helps your little one get used to a toothbrush in an easy, playful way. It is therefore the perfect intermediate step when transitioning to a real toothbrush later.

Cleaning of the Finger toothbrush

The Toothbrush comes with a storage case. This way, you can also keep the Toothbrush clean and Safe when your little one goes to stay over at, for example, grandma or grandpa’s, or when you want to take it on vacation. The Finger toothbrushes are used multiple times daily and go into a little one’s mouth. They can come into contact with bacteria. The toothbrushes are therefore easy to clean with Warm water and, where possible, a mild soap solution. Be sure to rinse the Toothbrush thoroughly and shake it dry. Then let it dry well outside the storage case, for example on a piece of kitchen paper.

Do you want to give the silicone fingertip toothbrush a proper cleaning? Boil water in the kettle. Pour the water into a bowl. Place the toothbrush in it and let it soak for five minutes. Rinse away the water and dry the toothbrush well.
