What do we recommend for a beginner hacker?

If you are just starting to crochet, you need a handy set of hook supplies that lets you get going quickly. We think the essentials are a large, inexpensive, and nice set of crochet hooks together with at least a set of stitch markers. Stitch markers help when crocheting, for example, to temporarily attach parts of stuffed animals or granny squares together. You can also use them to mark the start of a round, such as when crocheting stuffed animals/amigurumi. It’s also handy to thread a stitch marker through the loop when you set the project aside temporarily, so your work won’t come undone. Additionally, a pair of craft scissors is always useful to have in your beginner’s set. You can find craft scissors here: Embroidery scissors
