The carabiner hook keychains are widely used for example in making lucky dolls and other keychains. lucky dolls are little figures made from (wooden) beads. The little face is made with a wooden bead with a smiley. As the name suggests, the lucky dolls are meant to wish someone all the happiness and are therefore often given as a small gift or a treat at primary school. By attaching them to a keychain carabiner hook, someone can easily hang them on a bag or as part of a keychain. They are also easy to make, so the whole process does not have to take up too much time.

The keychain carabiner clips are also often used for making crocheted keychains. A small stuffed animal is then attached to this, such as a small mushroom, pieces of crocheted fruit (cherries or others), or small crocheted ducks.
